About the founder
I’m Max Petriev, founder of Agentic Systems, with a decade of experience building software and leading engineering teams across startups and tier-1 European technology companies.
My path into engineering began with a mathematics degree at Moscow State University, followed by PhD research in statistics. I then built scalable backend infrastructure for high-traffic adtech systems at VK and Delivery Hero.
I later co-founded TheStage AI ($4.5M raised from DVC, Atlantic, and others) and served as CTO, building AI infrastructure solutions for leading startups and enterprises, including Nebius AI.
Agentic systems fascinate me because they can feel almost alive: responding, adapting, and finding their way through a task. I’m curious about how far that can go, where it breaks down, and what it takes to make these systems work reliably in production.
